Following seven years at PwC, Patrick van den Berg joined EMG in 2005 and was appointed CFO in 2013. He has held the position of interim CEO since March 1st 2017 and is committed to the continuation and implementation of the Group’s ambitious development strategy.
François-Charles Bideaux, aged 60, joined the EURO MEDIA GROUP as co-CEO alongside Patrick Van der Berg, with effect from 01 February.
He has over 30 years of experience in the media and broadcast industry and started his career as an independent documentary filmmaker.
He joined TF1 and then Canal+ in 1997 as a director producer where he produced, among others, three Football World Cups, two rugby World Cups, the French Championship, Champions League and the Monaco Grand Prix. He acted as a consultant to the UEFA for the EURO 2008 production before becoming Head of Sports Production for the Canal+ Group up till now.
Following his nomination, he said « my main goal is to accelerate the Group’s growth and lead our business through changes related to UHD, IP production, remote production, light or simplified productions and new digital services »
François-Xavier graduated from HEC Paris.
He started his career in investment banking at CSFB. In 2004, he joined the Areva Group where he held various positions in strategy and business development, supervising numerous projects in France, USA and Asia. He became Head of Strategy of Kiloutou in 2012 where he conducted the growth strategy of the group in the context of its secondary LBO, carrying out close to 30 acquisitions in France and Europe. He joined Euro Media Group in December 2018 as Strategy & Development Director.
Patrick van den Berg has a Master of Science in Accountancy and is a Dutch CPA (Post Master degree). With over 15 years of professional experience Patrick started his career at PwC in The Netherlands, being active mainly in the Assurance practice, while also advising on M&A transactions. In 2005 Patrick joined UBF Media Group, the Dutch group merged into Euro Media Group in 2007. As Group Finance Director Patrick initially focused on the non French companies before moving to the EMG headoffices mid 2011, taking the overall responsibility for Finance since and being nominated CFO early 2013.
He combines a strong experience as an external auditor and advisor with in depth knowledge of the technical facility services of EMG. As CFO Patrick is very business oriented, with a strong focus on opportunities for external growth and the financing of the group.
Ronald Meyvisch,50 years old, started his broadcasting carrier as a video engineer in 1990. In 1996, Meyvisch became Engineer In Charge at an outside broadcast company and later served as technical and operations manager. When HDTV took-off in Europe, he oversaw large HD productions such as the first HD broadcast of the UEFA Champions League Final in Istanbul in 2005.
Ronald Meyvisch joined Euro Media Group in February 2011, as the company’s new technology officer a role he will fulfil until December 31st 2015. For the last five years, he has helped the company to anticipate new generation technologies in the fast pace broadcasting environment (UHD, Connectivity, Workflows, remote production, MAM). In order to do this, he relied on his academic knowledge enriched with personal hands-on field experience.
Xavier Devreker has 25 years of experience in the broadcast industry.
He started his career as TV director in Belgium in 1993 before moving to France in 2002 to launch and manage Alfacam France SAS.
He joined EUROMEDIA in 2012 as Head of Sales and Production of the Sports Division.
End of 2018 he moved to Euro Media Group to manage sales and delivery on International Projects.
Emilie Deshors holds a Specialised Master degree in International Purchasing Management from EM Lyon Business School. She has about 15 years of experience in large companies within different industries, such as Valeo, IBM and most recently The Phone House / Best Buy Europe as Head of Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management.
Laure Chabanis holds a Master of Laws degree from faculty of Lyon, a master in European Law and a University diploma from University College London. During 12 years in Broadcast, she has developed a business expertise and since 2008 created the French legal department. Since January 2013 she is General Counsel of EMG and head of French legal department.

He started his career in 2000 as software developer in a Web startup, and quickly embraced the broadcast industry in 2001 by working for Symah Vision (acquired by EMG in 2009). He was part of the pioneer in the area of virtual imaging solution dedicated to sports broadcast such as the virtual offside line. He has participed to the patent process as well as the development of several technologies used to enrich the storytelling of live sports. After a 3 years period at EVS BROADCAST as Senior Product Manager in charge of Livetools, he came back to Euromedia in 2015 as Innovation Manager and CTO of Netco Sports between 2017 en 2019. He is now in charge of EMG Digital.
Timo Koch has more than 20 years of experience in the broadcast industry in production & managerial roles. He started as a TV-producer at one of Belgium’s largest production companies. Afterwards, he joined Outside Broadcast (later called NEP Belgium) first as commercial manager, thereafter for about 10 years as managing director. Since he joined Euro Media Group beginning of 2018, he manages some group business units, oversees international sales and the delivery of large client’s projects.
Pauline Bénéat joined EMG as Head of Communications & Marketing in January 2020. Prior to joining EMG, Beneat led communications functions for rapid growth international companies. She spent 8.5 years in Berlin where she worked as head of communications for tourism company, HolidayPirates Group, which held 10 brands spread across 10 countries and with six offices. Before HolidayPirates Group, she worked for the online language learning platform Babbel as international PR and communications manager. At EMG, Beneat’s mission consists of developing and implementing an overall communications, public relations and marketing strategy, supporting the group brand as well as leveraging the national entities’ growth.
On Tuesday, September 4th 2018, Jean-Yves MEILLAND, aged 58, founder and former CEO of OL TV, has been officially named EUROMEDIA’s Managing Director.
Jean-Yves MEILLAND has been involved in audiovisual production since 1990. He has notably been involved in audiovisual services (Visual TV, Soft Ads), host broadcasting (HBS) and media.
Within EUROMEDIA, the French subsidiary of Euro Media Group, its mission will be to drive, pursue and develop the company’s activities: event capture, simplified production, RF, graphic enrichment, satellite transmission, slow motion / ultra-motion and integration.
He will also support in France the global policy led by Euro Media Group and will work closely with its leaders François-Charles BIDEAUX and Patrick VAN DEN BERG.
Dirk Theunis has a wealth of experience within the Broadcast industry, having spent 27 years at Videohouse. As a child, he showed a large interest in Video and Audio. His father was involved in the start-up of Television in Belgium at NIR (predecessor of public broadcaster VRT). Dirk studied at the School for Television and Film (RITCS) and began his career as a Freelance Video-technician. In 1985, he joined Videohouse as a Video-editor.
In 1992, he was appointed Chief Engineer of the start-up multi-camera division of Videohouse and from 2000 to 2010 he held the position of CTO (Chief Technical Officer). During this period he was a member of the board of Directors and officially became CEO and Managing Director of Videohouse in 2011.
René studied commerce and management at the Rotterdam University. His track record contains several organizational change projects.
He had several functions within KPN Telecom (1991-1999) where he was, among others, involved in the introduction of broadband internet in the Netherlands and the realization of the e-commerce strategy of KPN. At NOB (1999-2003) he was responsible for the turnaround of their Radio and Television Division.
This turnaround included the establishment of Dutchview, Ciris and Technicolor and the sale of Cinevideogroup. In 2005 Rene became the COO of UBF Media Group where he was responsible for the performance of the operating companies. After a small sidestep into online music Rene became the Director of Operations of United in 2010.
In 1987, Stefan Hoff started as editor, Video Mixer and TV Director for sports and entertainment programmes. From 1996 to 2008 he worked as Managing Director of WIGE COMMUNICATION GmbH, WIGE TELEVISION GmbH and HD Signs GmbH. In 2007-2008 he was also COO (Chief Operations Officer) and Member of the Board at listed company WIGE MEDIA AG.
Since 2008, he is Managing Director of nobeo GmbH. In 2010 has become a member of the Board and in 2014 the Chairman of the Board of the German Film and Television association VTFF, Berlin.
