Winter sports: EUROMEDIA reaches new summits

Leader in technical broadcasting services, EUROMEDIA has reached new summits with contracts to cover a large number of winter sports events.

EUROMEDIA is partner to the FFSG Ice Sports Federation and covered the last Grand Prix de France skating championships held from 10 to 13 November at the AccorHotels Aréna stadium in Bercy. EUROMEDIA was responsible for international signal management for the FFSG and for the France Télévisions graphic skins.

EUROMEDIA also recently reached an agreement with Infront Italy to cover all the Skiing World Cup events in France for the next four years. For the first time, EUROMEDIA will be mobilising its teams and technical resources to cover the events organised by the FIS (International Skiing Federation) including:

The World Cup for Downhill Skiing, men and women, in Val d'Isère (Critérium de la première neige, a qualifying event for the World Cup)
The World Cup for Downhill Skiing, women, in Courchevel
The combined World Cup for Cross-Country Skiing in La Clusaz and Chaux-neuve
The World Cup for Cross-Country Skiing from Mégève to Val Thorens
The choice made by the FFSG and Infront Italy reflects recognition of EUROMEDIA's expertise in covering the most important international sports events.

Lionel Vialaneix, Chairman of EUROMEDIA, is delighted about these new services: "I grew up on the Serre Chevalier ski runs and I can only rejoice at the agreement reached for the different competitions. To see EUROMEDIA's cameras on the runs – for several years to come, what's more – is a great satisfaction to me. We had already worked in Sotchi for the winter sports competitions and we set ourselves two goals inspired by the language of sport: PERFORMANCE and DYNAMISM. So we are delighted to have won these new contracts."
